Orthodontist           Duties and Responsibilities: Orthodontists examine patients, develop treatment plans, and prepare patients for orthodontic services. Orthodontists use braces and retainers to prevent future dental problems, straighten teeth, and correct bite issues. They are responsible for locating problems with the positioning of patients’ teeth and with their oral development. Orthodontists plan a custom treatment plan to treat each individual patient based on his or her dental records and specific anomalies.

Salary: $128,220

Education: Students who would like to become an orthodontist should start with earning their bachelor’s degree. Afterwards take a test to be admitted into dentistry school. A dentistry program usually includes two years of classroom work and two years of residential practice. Afterwards you can enroll in a post-graduate training program in orthodontics which leads you to earn your master’s degree.
Reflection: I think I would be interested in becoming an Orthodontist.
