Plastic Surgeon
Duties and Responsibilities: Plastic surgeons shape and mold regions of the body like the ears, face, trunk, hands, and other extremities. They also repair congenital problems, such as malformed bone structure in hands or feet. Cosmetic surgery reshapes normal body parts for aesthetic reasons, while reconstructive surgery repairs or replaces body parts damaged by accidents, illness or malformation.
Salary: $230,540
Education: The path to becoming a plastic surgeon is a long and demanding one. Students must complete many levels of training and education, beginning with obtaining a bachelor’s degree in a pre-medical major, such as biology or chemistry. They then must enter medical school.
Reflection: I don’t think I’ll like to become a Plastic Surgeon because it’s a lot of responsibility towards you.

Neurologist
Duties and Responsibilities: A neurologist is a medical doctor or osteopath who has trained in the diagnosis and treatment of nervous system disorders, including diseases of the brain, spinal cord, nerves and muscles.
Salary: $228,161
Education:  
v Four years of premedical education in a college or university
v Four years of medical school resulting in an MD or DO degree ( doctor of medicine or doctor of osteopathy degree)
v One year internship in either internal medicine or medicine/surgery
v At least 3 years of specialty training in an accredited neurology residency program

Reflection: I think I would like to become a Neurologist because what they do is what I’m kind of interested in.

Western Medicine Doctor
Duties and Responsibilities: Western medicine doctor are trained to treat the entire rather than the specific illness or condition. They take into account patient’s physical, mental, and emotional condition in order to determine the proper course of treatment. In addition to providing acupuncture therapy, practioners help their patients achieve balance and wellness in their everyday lives.
Salary: $72,710
Education: Most licensed acupuncturist hold masters degrees or post-baccalaureate certificates from schools accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. As the Council of Colleges of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine explain, most programs require 1,500 – 2,000 hours of acupuncture training and take 3 – 4 to complete. Graduates must pass the certification exam offered by NCCAOM and fulfill any additional state licensing requirements.

Reflection: I don’t think I’ll like to be a Western Medicine Doctor because it doesn't interest me.

Eastern Medicine Doctor
Duties and Responsibilities: A broad range of medicine practices sharing common concepts which have been developed in China and are based on a tradition of more than 2,000 years, including various forms of herbal medicine, acupuncture, massage, exercise, and dietary therapy. They use needles, herbs, and other implements to restore the flow of energy and relieve pain and injuries in patients.
Salary: $75,000 - $80,000
Education: In order to become an eastern medicine doctor you need a doctorate in acupuncture. Once you complete your degree, you can expect to earn a salary annually.  You also have to choice of entering an acupuncture school. The minimum requirements you need are satisfactory completion of at least 2 years of education at the baccalaureate level.

Reflection: I don’t think I would do this because what I'm interested in completely different to this.

Military Medical Careers
Duties and Responsibilities: There are various different medical career options in military like nursing job, army physician, dental technician, flight nurse, medical specialist, and physician assistants. Each branch of the military has different needs. They are not confined to a hospital or medical office. For example a physician assistant provide primary or specialty medical are with the supervision of a physician. They obtain and evaluate medical histories as well.
Salary: Aerospace Med - $20,000
Anesthesiology - $36,000
Cardiology-$36,000.00
Emergency medicine: $26,000.00
General surgery- $29,000.00
Neurosurgery  - $36,000.00
Orthopedics    -$36,000.00
Psychiatry - $20,000.00
Radiology         $36,000.00

Education: First you have to graduate high school and earn a high school diploma and then get a bachelor’s degree in a science related field like biology or chemistry. Also you must attend medical school in which programs are usually about four years in length. You may obtain your license to practice in your state and the contact a military recruiter for the army, navy, or air force,
Reflection: I think I would like to become something in the military medical career because it caught my attention towards what they do.

Oriental Medicine Doctor
Duties and Responsibilities:  They use forms of acupuncture and treatment through the Chinese concept of energy. They treat headaches, back pain, arthritis, or other illnesses by identifying patterns of imbalance within a body’s energy level and working to readjust fluids or tissues in order to keep the body in balance and relieve pain. Their techniques include acupuncture, cupping, acupressure, and herbal supplements. They must be able to evaluate a patient’s symptoms and identify what organs or tissues are causing the aliment.
Salary: $61,000
Education: Some doctors are licensed to be a physician’s assistant and then take classes to become certified in oriental medicine. Most have a bachelor’s degree in biology or another medical related field. To qualify for certification they must complete a certain number of hours working as an intern. 

Reflection:  I don’t think I’ll like to become an Oriental Medicine Doctor because I don’t see myself doing that in the future.
