                               Student Success Statement
“I will persist until I succeed”   ~Og Mandino
Reflection: If you really want to succeed in life always persist in everything you do.  Always go for what you want do not wait. Especially your goals and dreams in your life. For example, if your goal in is to make the baseball team you got to persist. When your tryout and you don’t make don’t give up because that is something you should never do. You have to keep on persisting and try your best. Give all you got. Failure doesn't mean to stop and just ignore it means to try once again.

                           Perfusionists
Duties and Responsibilities: Clinical Perfusionists operate circulation equipment during medical situations when it is necessary to temporarily and artificially replace the patient’s circulatory or respiratory functions. This occurs during heart surgery and similar operations. Perfusionists also control the temperature of patients during surgery. Their duties include:
v  Operating heart-lung machines
v  Administering some types of anesthesia
v  Administering some types of medication
Salary: $50,000
Education: A high school diploma with a strong background in biology and chemistry is required to be accepted in Perfusionists training programs. Admissions preference is given to students with college science work or experience in respiratory therapy and medical terminology.
Perfusionists training programs are given at academic health centers and medical schools and universities.  They emphasize hands-on, practical training.  Course length varies, but for the school to be recognized by the American Academy of Cardiac Perfusionists, the curriculum must include the supervised performance of 150 procedures to include 20 pediatric and infant cases.
Reflection:  I don’t think I would like to be Perfusionists because I’m considering more the medical field.

                                           Student Success Statement
“Nothing in the modern world can take the place of
                                                            PERSISTENCE
TALENT will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent.
GENIUS will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb.
EDUCATION will not; the world is full of educated derelicts.
Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan ‘Press On’ had solved and always will solve the problems of the human race.”
                                    President Calvin Coolidge
                        30th president of US (1872-1933)
Reflection: If you keep persistence with you it will solve problems in your life. You just got to never give up and try your best in everything you do. If you really want something in life, achieve it don’t leave it. Leaving it will lead to you forgetting and never accomplishing it. For example, if you are having trouble in your math class and you are very confused ask for help. Because sometimes help doesn't come to you, you have to go for it. Once you go help you’ll understand it way better than before.
