Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Duties and Responsibilities:  Nuclear medicine includes molecular imaging, is the medical specialty sealed and unsealed radioactive materials in the diagnosis and therapy of diseases. This practice also includes the utilization of pharmaceuticals and other imaging modalities with or without contrast to evaluate the physiologic processes at a molecular level. Nuclear medicine technologists are health professionals who, under the direction of an authorized user, are committed to applying the art and skill of their profession to optimize diagnostic evaluation and therapy through the safe and effective use of radiopharmaceutical adjunctive medications.
Salary: $70,180 in May 2012.

Education: Nuclear medicine technologists typically need an associate’s degree in nuclear medicine technology. Formal education programs in nuclear medicine technology or a related healthcare field lead to a certificate, an associate’s degree, or a bachelor’s degree. Technologists must be licensed in some states; requirements vary by state.
Reflection: I think I would like to be a nuclear medicine technologists because it sounds like an interesting job to do.Also considering that I'm interested in the medicine field.
