Duties and
Responsibilities: Specialists and physicians treat wide variety of ear,
nose, and throat –related disorders, such as hoarseness, hearing loss, sore
throats, snoring and sinus problems, and cancer of the head and neck region. By
combining compassionate care with specialized treatment options and the most
current education and technology, they create a caring and healing environment
for both children and adults.
Salary: $327,517
Education: ENT
physicians must complete about 15 years of education and training, including a
4-year undergraduate program, 4-year medical program, at least 5 years of specialty
and 1- to 2-year residency program. Then, physicians must undergo peer
evaluations and pass oral and written examinations administered by the American
Board of Otolaryngology.
Reflection:
I wouldn’t like to be an ear, nose, and Throat Surgeon because it seems
like a hard career to do.
